We're Building the AI Assistant We Actually Wanted
A note from the team on why we started CodeControl, what drives us, and where we're headed.

Every product starts with a frustration.
Ours was simple: AI had gotten incredible, but using it still felt like work. You open an app, type a question, wait for an answer, copy it somewhere, do the thing yourself. The AI was smart. The experience wasn’t.
We kept asking: why can’t it just do things?
Why we started
We’re a small team, and we use a lot of devices. Phones, computers, different apps across both. We wanted something that could move between them as naturally as we do — that could open an app on our phone from our computer, set a reminder while we’re mid-conversation, or handle something in the background while we stay focused.
Nothing we found could do that. So we started building it.
What Gollm is
Gollm is our answer to the question: what does a truly capable AI assistant look like?
Not a chatbot. Not a voice command system. Not a clipboard for AI-generated text.
An assistant that sees your devices, understands what you’re trying to do, and actually does it — across your phone and computer, together, without you having to manage the gap between them.
The belief driving everything
We believe the relationship between people and technology should feel natural. Not like operating machinery. Not like learning a new interface every few years.
AI made that possible for the first time. You can just talk — and something capable enough to understand you can act on it.
Our mission is to create the perfect bridge between technology and humans, using AI. Every decision we make comes back to that.
What we’ve learned
Building something genuinely new is harder than it looks. The easy path is to wrap an existing AI API and call it an assistant. We’ve gone deeper — all the way to the device hardware, across network boundaries, across platforms.
The hard problems are where the real product lives. Getting it to feel instant. Getting it to work reliably across different devices. Getting the personality right so it feels like your assistant, not a generic one.
We’re not done. But we’re further along than we expected, and we’re proud of what’s working.
What’s next
We’re preparing for the first people outside our team to try Gollm. If you’ve joined the waitlist, you’ll be among them.
We can’t wait to hear what you think.
